On Location: A Film & Television Interactive Experience

Hosts: AMC Networks, Copyright Alliance, CreativeFuture, Directors Guild of America, Independent Film & Television Alliance, International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Motion Picture Association of America, National Association of Theatre Owners, and Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists

Date: July 24, 2018

Venue: Rayburn Foyer, Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, DC

Attendees: 230 including 15 Members of Congress

Overview: Creative Rights Caucus Co-Chairs Rep. Judy Chu and Rep. Doug Collins showcased the talented people whose skills, innovation, and hard work create the magic in the American film and television industry.

The event featured a unique interactive experience on a working set with production crew members and actors. Members of Congress and Hill staff learned about the variety of jobs within the production pipeline – from the set all the way to the movie theater – and how all of these jobs depend on copyright and the right of artists to be fairly compensated for their work.
